Gangalla Nugget was slow to begin.
Veetee Destroyer stumbled soon after the start. She Can't Run and Dan Overboard collided soon after the start. Dan Overboard and Veetee Destroyer collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. He's Zarr Badger, Our Madam and Radley's Reality collided on the first turn checking Our Madam. Gangalla Nugget and She Can't Run collided approaching the home turn. Gangalla Nugget raced wide on the home turn.
Veetee Destroyer was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Helen Gates, the handler of the greyhound Dan Overboard which tailed off and was vetted and revetted following race 3. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right calf muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dan Overboard with failing to pursue to the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Gates pleaded guilty to the charge, Dan Overboard was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
