Roethlisberger was slow to begin. Starc clipped the heels of Flying Twist on the first turn and stumbled as a result, checking Love Affair and Roethlisberger. Zipping Rory and Roethlisberger collided on the first turn and again on the second turn. Flying Twist and Big Kat collided on the second turn. Flying Twist and Explosive Angel collided approaching the home turn, checking Explosive Angel. Explosive Angel tired over the concluding stages and was vetted following the event.
Zipping Rory was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right calf muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Explosive Angel was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
