Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Yarra Gun.
Danyo's Tom underwent a veterinary examination prior to the running of this event and was passed fit to race.
Johnny Mobster was checked off Jet Mikado soon after the start. Yarra Gun and Don't Crumble collided approaching the first turn. Jet Mikado, Yarra Gun, Don't Crumble and Danyo's Tom collided on the first turn checking Danyo's Tom, Yarra Gun and Don't Crumble. Johnny Mobster was checked off Yarra Gun on the first turn checking Black Arora. Danyo's Tom was checked off Jet Mikado on the home turn. Black Arora was checked off Don't Crumble entering the home straight.
Danyo's Tom was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Neil Ryan the trainer of Danyo's Tom regarding the greyhounds performance in this event. Mr. Ryan stated that he was disappointed with the performance of Danyo's Tom and could offer no further explanation. Mr. Ryan advised Stewards that it was his intention to have the greyhound checked by his regular vet in the oncoming days. Stewards advised Mr. Ryan that he must notify Greyhound Racing Victoria Stewards of any irregularities that may have affected the greyhounds performance pursuant to GAR 75(2).
