Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Final Deception.
Suedon Belle and Final Deception were slow to begin. Little Smokey was very slow to begin (10 lengths) and took no competitive part in the event. Final Deception galloped on Suedon Belle on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Shirdale Prince and Alisha Jewel collided approaching the home turn checking Shirdale Prince. Alisha Jewel was checked off Held Hostage in the home straight.
Little Smokey was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest muscle and left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Joseph Sultana the trainer of the greyhound Little Smokey. Stewards deemed the performance of Little Smokey unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Little Smokey must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
