Amaroo Chaos was quick to begin. Hippy Jet and Yankee Rose were slow to begin. Zarbos Legend was very slow to begin (3 1/2 lengths). Hermoso and Malted collided soon after the start. Hippy Jet and Yankee Rose collided approaching the first turn. Hippy Jet, Yankee Rose, Malted and Enduro Miss collided on the first turn checking Hippy Jet and severely checking Yankee Rose and Malted. Zarbos Legend tailed off approaching the home turn.
Yankee Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Zarbos Legend was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 3, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle and right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Graham Carr the trainer of the greyhound Zarbos Legend. Stewards deemed the performance of Zarbos Legend unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Zarbos Legend must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
