Amaroo Chaos was quick to begin.  Hippy Jet and Yankee Rose were slow to begin.  Zarbos Legend was very slow to begin (3 1/2 lengths).  Hermoso and Malted collided soon after the start.  Hippy Jet and Yankee Rose collided approaching the first turn.  Hippy Jet, Yankee Rose, Malted and Enduro Miss collided on the first turn checking Hippy Jet and severely checking Yankee Rose and Malted.  Zarbos Legend tailed off approaching the home turn.

Yankee Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Zarbos Legend was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 3, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle and right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Graham Carr the trainer of the greyhound Zarbos Legend.  Stewards deemed the performance of Zarbos Legend unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Zarbos Legend must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mrs. Geraldine Debono trainer of Bad Advice redeclared a new weight of 28.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Bad Advice last raced at 27.0kg,

Rusty Mia, Jungle Jane and Vivid Intent were quick to begin.  Frisky Colour and Sacred Diamond were slow to begin.  Sacred Diamond and Dundee Rose collided soon after the start.  Jungle Jane, Vivid Intent and Bad Advice collided on the first turn checking Jungle Jane and Vivid Intent.  Dundee Rose and Buckle Up Vicki collided approaching the home turn.  Sacred Diamond and Buckle Up Vicki collided in the home straight checking Sacred Diamond.

Bad Advice ws vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Magaluf Bob was quick to begin.  Macey Blue and Elite Lucy were slow to begin.  Bubble Girl crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Macey Blue and severley checking Amaroo Emirates.  Macey Blue and Bubble Girl collided on the first turn.  Shooters Echo and Macey Blue collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.

Willowvale Black was quick to begin.  Peregon Flyer was slow to begin.  Ripplebrook Al and Barksdale collided soon after the start.  Barksdale, Little Mantra, Peregon Flyer and Asha Rhode collided soon after the start checking Peregon Flyer and Asha Rhode.  Barksdale was checked off Little Mantra on the first turn.  Peregon Flyer was checked off Ripplebrook Al approaching the home turn checking Asha Rhode.  Little Mantra was checked off Tekki Tremor approaching the home turn.  Willowvale Black and Wasabi Princess collided entering the home straight.  Willowvale Black, Wasabi Princess and Tekki Tremor collided in the home straight causing Willowvale Black to fall severley checking Little Mantra and checking Asha Rhode.  Wasabi Princess and Tekki Tremor collided approaching the winning post.

Willowvale Black was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right dew claw and right chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Wasabi Princess was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. Rachel Busuttil the trainer of Wasabi Princess.  After viewing the head on footage Stewards issued a warning to Mrs. Busuttil regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Ricky Fields, Dromore's Pearl and Billy Beergarden were slow to begin.  Johnny Mobster was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Dromore's Pearl and Billy Beergarden collided soon after the start.  Billy Beergarden was checked off Dromore's Pearl approaching the first turn.  Ricky Fields and Dromore's Pearl collided approaching the first turn. Summer Wages crossed to the rail on the first turn checking We're Off Here, Noaki Lynx, Summer Wages and Stealthy Blonde.  Ricky Fields was checked off Dromore's Pearl on the first turn.  Billy Beergarden, Stealthy Blonde and Johnny Mobster collided approaching the winning post.

Impact Bale was slow to begin.  Bark Simpson raced wide approaching the home turn.  Bomber Attack and Innocent Til collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Bomber Attack, Innocent Til and Tiggerlong Await collided entering the home straight.

Rowdy Ronda and Red Trump were slow to begin.  Rowdy Ronda was checked off Amaroo My Girl approaching the first turn checking Red Trump.  Rowdy Ronda galloped on Amaroo My Girl on the first turn checking both greyhounds, Rowdy Ronda stumbled as a result.

Headline and Dashing Diesel were slow to begin.  Headline was checked off Busta Voe approaching the first turn.  Dashing Diesel was checked off Conquer Fear on the home turn.  Flying Casey and Big Sub Woofer collided approaching the winning post.

Buckle Up Louis and Essentially were quick to begin.  Buckle Up Brett, Kofi Kaylan and Omega Deacon were slow to begin.  Kofi Kaylan and Omega Deacon collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Buckle Up Louis, Symmetry Lad and Crawf's Bread collided on the first turn checking Tekki China and Crawf's Bread.  Tekki China crossed to the rail approaching the home turn checking Symmetry Lad and Buckle Up Louis.  Symmetry Lad and Crawf's Bread collided on the home turn checking Symmetry Lad.  Symmetry Lad galloped on Buckle Up Louis on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Crawf's Bread and Omega Deacon collided entering the home straight.

Ultimate Talent and My Tab were quick to begin.  Mick Mow and Rocky Gibraltar collided soon after the start checking Rocky Gibraltar.  Mick Mow was checked off Cooler Colour approaching the first turn.  Rocky Gibraltar and Lumumba collided on the first turn checking Rocky Gibraltar.  Power Volt and Courtesy collided on the first turn checking Courtesy.  Lumumba faltered on the first turn.  Ultimate Talent galloped on My Tab on the home turn checking both greyhounds, My Tab faltered and tailed off as a result.

My Tab was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left hock and was humanely euthanased.

Lumumba was vetted and after being re-vetted following the event 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right shoulder muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Fireman Johnny and Leah Entity were slow to begin.  Daintree Sugar and Mr. Alouette collided soon after the start checking Daintree Sugar.  Senor Gold, Greysynd Star and Mr. Alouette collided approaching the first turn checking Mr. Alouette.  Mr. Alouette contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Pita Milo and Fireman Johnny collided on the home turn checking Pita Milo.  Pita Milo and Punk Star Lass collided entering the home straight.  Greysynd Star and Leah Entity collided entering the home straight checking Leah Entity.  Senor Gold and Fireman Johnny collided approaching the winning post.

Satisfactory trial results:-

Golden Dreams trialled over the 400 metres from box 3, weight 31.0kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.35secs, the greyhound won by a margin of half a length.  Golden Dreams was cleared.

Broad Betty trialled over the 400 metres from box 1, weight 27.5kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.35secs, the greyhound was beaten a margin of half a length.  Broad Betty was cleared to race without blinkers.
