A pre-race sample was taken from Miracle Maggie.
Slipaway Squirt and Seabrook Shan were quick to begin. Miracle Maggie was slow to begin. Matty's Caravan, Cosmic Buddy and Braquo collided soon after the start. Slipaway Jenifer and Slipaway Squirt collided approaching the first turn checking Slipaway Squirt. Matty's Caravan galloped on the heels of Cosmic Buddy on the first turn causing Cosmic Buddy to fall. Braquo, Matty's Caravan and Miracle Maggie collided approaching the home turn checking Matty's Caravan and causing Braquo to fall. Miracle Maggie and Slipaway Squirt collided in the home straight.
Cosmic Buddy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
