A pre-race sample was taken from Mister Shoeman.
Ace Redeemer (fell on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind. No stand down period was imposed.
Frank Grimes (fell on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound right palmer metacarpals. No stand down period was imposed.
Slingshot Penny (fell on the first turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound left hind and abrasions to the right hind. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Aston Bolivar (visibly eased and turned its head to the inside on the home turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right elbow injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Lachlan Scott regarding Aston Bolivar’s racing manners approaching the home turn.
