Steward's Report
Cee Cee's Legacy was quick to begin. Galloping Betsy, Dotti Bloom and Luna Ash were slow to begin. Dotti Bloom eased approaching the first turn. Almani Dotz and Full Slippers collided onthe first turn, checking Full Slippers and severely checking Almani Dotz. Have A Tinnie checked off Cee Cee's Legacy on the first turn. Have A Tinnie and Junction Eagle collided on the fourth turn, checking Junction Eagle.
Almani Dotz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Junction Eagle was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Charles Mizzi trainer of Junction Eagle regarding the greyhounds performance over the concluding stages. Mr. Mizzi stated that he was not intending to pursue a staying career for the greyhound as he believed the greyhound did not stay the distance and does not plan to nominate over this distance again in the future. Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.
Dotti Bloom was vetted and re-vetted following event 8. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pencil; a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dotti Bloom with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Handler G. Collins pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dotti Bloom was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
