Jolly Beggerman was slow to begin. Lilypad and Elfie collided soon after the start . Lilypad, Elfie and Mum's Soul approaching the first turn. Elfie, Mum's Soul and Lilypad collided on the first turn, checking City Rambler and Jolly Beggerman; Jolly Beggerman raced wide. Elfie and City Rambler collided on the third turn. Xavier Kelton checked off Tell Me Ma entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr O. Fraser, the handler of the greyhound Shawshank in this event, regarding his over exuberant cheering behind the starting boxes as the greyhounds approached the home turn. Stewards reminded Mr Fraser of his responsibilities and advised him to be more mindful in similar situations in the future. 

David Best was quick to begin. Under Taker and Zatrite were slow to begin. Greysynd Phantom, Addictive Love, Dungarvan and Sammy Jade collided soon after the start, checking Greysynd Phantom, Addictive Love and Dungarvan; Sammy Jade crossed in. Addictive Love and Dungarvan collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Sammy Jade and David Best collided approaching the first turn, checking Sammy Jade. Greysynd Phantom crossed to the outside on the first turn, checking Zatrite. Dungarvan and Zatrite collided on the first turn. Addictive Love and Dungarvan collided on the second turn, checking Under Taker. Addictove Love and Dungarvan collided on the home turn, checking Dungarvan which raced wide.

Nicki Fields and Betty Armagh were slow to begin. Just Relax Ay and Bergaz collided approaching the first turn. One Cup Short crossed to the rail on the second turn. Just Relax Ay and One Cup Short collided entering the back straight, checking Just Relax Ay. Starlight Ruby checked off Bergaz entering the back straight. Just Relax Ay and Starlight Ruby collided in the back straight.

Starlight Ruby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury; a 14 day stand down periood was imposed. 

Betty's Moment, Ruthless Stagger and Wayward Wind were slow to begin. Koko Kola, Miss Geevs and Crowdza Chanting collided approaching the first turn, checking MIss Geeves. Ko Ko Kola, Betty's Moment and Riverside Mary collided on the first turn, checking Riverside Mary and severely checking Miss Geeves. Wayward Wind and Cool Maxine collided on the first turn. Koko Kola and Crowdza Chanting collided on the home turn, checking Crowdza Chanting. Crowdza Chanting and Riverside Mary collided on the home turn. Wayward Wind and Cool Maxine raced wide on the home turn.

Cee Cee's Legacy was quick to begin. Galloping Betsy, Dotti Bloom and Luna Ash were slow to begin. Dotti Bloom eased approaching the first turn. Almani Dotz and Full Slippers collided onthe first turn, checking Full Slippers and severely checking Almani Dotz. Have A Tinnie checked off Cee Cee's Legacy on the first turn. Have A Tinnie and Junction Eagle collided on the fourth turn, checking Junction Eagle.

Almani Dotz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Junction Eagle was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Charles Mizzi trainer of Junction Eagle regarding the greyhounds performance over the concluding stages. Mr. Mizzi stated that he was not intending to pursue a staying career for the greyhound as he believed the greyhound did not stay the distance and does not plan to nominate over this distance again in the future. Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.

Dotti Bloom was vetted and re-vetted following event 8. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pencil; a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dotti Bloom with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Handler G. Collins pleaded not guilty to the charge, Dotti Bloom was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Delta Queen was quick to begin. Hestia Bale was slow to begin. Laquita Lass and Addictive Alpha collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Hestia Bale, Rozehill Lisa and severely checking Addictive Alpha. Laquita Lass checked off Hestia Bale on the first turn, severely checking Laquita Lass and checking Rozehill Lisa. Laquita Lass and Addictive Alpha collided on the home turn. Delta Queen checked off Thatcher in the home straight, checking Delta Queen.

Sonic Fury and Weathy Schooner were quick to begin. Charlie Spitz was slow to begin. Swans Twelve, Dyna Fulcrum and Charlie Spitz collided apporaching the first turn, checking Dyna Fulcrum and Charlie Spitz. Dyna Fulcrum and Charlie Spitz collided on the first turn and again on the second turn. Dyna Fulcrum and Charlie Spitz collided entering the back straight, checking Charlie Spitz. Dyna Fulcrum and Sonic Fury collided entering the home straight, checking Sonic Fury. 

Bendis Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a graze to the left fore leg and a left triangle injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Bonjour Bonsoir was slow to begin. Newfire Riley, Dyna Revy and Salegreys Power collided apporoaching the first turn. Newfire Riley, Dyna Revy and Bonjour Bonsoir collided on the first turn. Upset Boy checked off Exquisitus on the first turn. Dyna Revy and Bonjour Bonsoir collided on the first turn and again on the second turn. Bonjour Bonsoir checked off Dyna Revy approaching the third turn. Salegreys Power and Upset Boy collided several times from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds. 

Sonic Petite, Amber Blaze, Sisco Flyer and Gunloch were slow to begin. Gunloch crossed in approaching the first turn checking Sisco Flyer, Amber Blaze and Sonic Petite. Crowdza Talking and First Dan collided approahcing the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Jagman and Gunloch collided approaching the second turn, checking Gunloch. Amber Blaze and First Dan collided on the home turn. 

First Dan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

One Kay was slow to begin. Bolt Me Down checked off Platini approaching the first turn, checking Cool Rod. Kynan's Magic checked off Platini approaching the first turn, checking Cool Rod. Kynan's Magic checked off Platini on the first turn, checking Thundering Star and Cool Rod. Thundering Star checked off One Kay approaching the home turn. Kynan's Magic and One Kay collided in the home straight.

Twistex and Elite Watch collided approaching the first. Quara Bale and Zipping Electra collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Seanna Celest and Senor Gold collided on the first turn, checking Senor Gold, Elite Watch and severely checking Seanna Celeste which pulled up as a result. Twistex and Senor Gold collided entering the home straight.   

Seanna Celeste was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right front radius/ulna and was humanely euthanised.

Jarry Reg was quick to begin. Make That Call and Peregon Flyer were slow to begin ( 3 lengths). Make That Call, Noita and Ima River Boy collided approaching the first turn, checking Make That Call. Make That Call and Polar Bee collided on the first turn. Buckle Up Miska faltered on the first turn, checking Noita and severely checking Buckle Up Miska, Make That Call and Polar Bee. Jarry Reg checked off Boom Boom Shiraz entering the home straight. 

Buckle Up Miska was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Noita was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right fore split webbing; a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Make That Call Mr. G. Bartlett and reminded him of his responsibilities after he attempted to box his greyhound for this event, without removing the collar.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Track Curator T. Godfrey advised stewards that the track was harrowed on Friday the 28th of November.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Taquitos trialled over the 311 metres from box 1, weight 31.2kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.35, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.00 lengths. Taquitos was cleared.
