Steward's Report
Honeycomb Smooth was quick to begin. Diamond Jack and Magic Coups were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Magic Coups. Cosmic Break and Dignity Diamond collided soon after the start checking Dignity Diamond. Magic Coups raced wide on the first turn. Dignity Diamond raced wide approaching the home turn. Diamond Jack clipped the heels of Letsy Bale in the home straight checking Diamond Jack. Flash Riot eased in the home straight and collided with Letsy Bale checking both greyhounds. Letsy Bale and Flash Riot collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. Lisa Hellmuth the handler of the greyhound Flash Riot regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Flash Riot was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left and right chest muscle, left elbow and left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Flash Riot with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mrs. Hellmuth pleaded not guilty to the charge, Flash Riot was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
