Steward's Report
Lumumba was a late scratching at 6.09pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs. Jan Brooks was fined the sum of $100.
Thunder Flame and Lethal Blue were slow to begin. Bizzee Being Me faltered soon after the start and tailed off as a result. Miss Su Chi was checked off Jules'Fancy on the first turn.
Bizzee Being Me was vetted and after being re-vetted 25 minutes later, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. Kay King the trainer of the greyhound Bizzee Being Me regarding the greyhound racing manners throughout the event. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Bizzee Being Me with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. King pleaded not guilty to the charge, Bizzee Being Me was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(A)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Sanzman trialled over the 400 metres from box 7, weight 31.3kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.56 sec, the greyhound was beaten a margin of .75 length. Sanzman was cleared.
