Da Mishka, Deecee Zues and Noonbarra Joe collided soon after the start checking Deecee Zues. Chubba Chops and Mine Craft collided approaching the first turn checking Mine Craft. Lektra Spider, Waynewright, Kept Under Wraps and Noonbarra Joe collided approaching the first turn checking Noonbarra Joe. Chubba Chops crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Kept Under Wraps and Waynewright. Mine Craft checked off Noonbarra Joe on the first turn checking Deecee Zues. Waynewright and Noonbarra Joe collided approaching the home turn checking Waynewright. Noonbarra Joe checked off Kept Under Wraps on the home turn. Chubba Chops and Kept Under Wraps collided entering the home straight. Mine Craft raced wide entering the home straight. Kept Under Wraps veered out and marred the running of Chubba Chops in the home straight. 

Kept Under Wraps was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Keel, the handler of the greyhound Kept Under Wraps regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR69(1) stewards charged Kept Under Wraps with marring. B. Keel pleaded guilty to the charge, Kept Under Wraps was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
