Stewards deemed the performance of Charlie's Man unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Charlie's Man must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Stewards spoke to the handler of Van Nostrum, Mr. D. Halas and issued him with a warning regarding his failure to comply with the dress code.

Pretty Boy Grigg, Dr. Gomez and Crymelon Orbit collided approaching the first turn severely checking Schumacher and Dr. Gomez, Dr. Gomez stumbled as a result. Hinnomunji Fire and Usain I'm Nutty collided approaching the home turn. Hinnomunji Fire checked off Usain I'm Nutty on the home turn. Schumacher checked off Hinnomunji Fire in the home straight.

Dr. Brm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both hamstrings. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Keel, the handler of the greyhound Kept Under Wraps regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR69(1) stewards charged Kept Under Wraps with marring. B. Keel pleaded guilty to the charge, Kept Under Wraps was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
