Betty Baker, Hawka Tron, Cosmic Creation and Jukebox Hero collided soon after the start. Jukebox Hero, Van Nostrum and Lektra Khan collided soon after the start checking Jukebox Hero. Betty Baker checked off All Bar One approaching the first turn. Hawka Tron and Van Nostrum collided approaching the first turn. Betty Baker, Van Nostrum, Hawka Tron and Lektra Khan collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Creation and Betty Baker. Hawka Tron and Lektra Khan collided approaching the home turn checking Hawka Tron.
Charlie's Man was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the handler of the greyhound Charlie's Man. Stewards deemed the performance of Charlie's Man unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Charlie's Man must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to the handler of Van Nostrum, Mr. D. Halas and issued him with a warning regarding his failure to comply with the dress code.
