Slipaway Simba was quick to begin. Dr. Robbie was slow to begin.
Lektra Dave, Proven Scary, Jimmy Who, Macey Blue and See Him Run collided approaching the first turn checking Proven Scary, Macey Blue and Jimmy Who. See Him Run galloped on the heels of Slipaway Simba approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. See Him Run checked off Proven Scary on the first turn. Lektra Dave, Proven Scary and Slipaway Simba collided on the first turn checking Rosanna Rose and severely checking Slipaway Simba and Macey Blue. Proven Scary and Lektra Dave collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Macey Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained sand burn to the left and right paw. No stand down period was imposed.
Slipaway Simba was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
