Steward's Report
Lakeview Miss and Little Boy Sad were quick to begin. Amaroo Jeronimo, Bush Wacked, Extra Stars and Nitro Drill were slow to begin. Amaroo Jeronimo raced wide soon after the start checking Extra Stars. Amaroo Jeronimo and Extra Stars collided approaching the first turn checking Amaroo Jeronimo. Lakeview Miss, Where Are We and Sanzman collided on the first turn checking Lakeview Miss and Sanzman. Nitro Drill, Lakeview Miss and Sanzman collided entering the home straight checking Lakeview Miss and Extra Stars.
Amaroo Jeronimo was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Little Boy Sad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Graeme Joske the trainer of Little Boy Sad regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. Kay King the handler of the greyhound Sanzman regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Sanzman was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Sanzman with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mrs. King pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sanzman was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
