Dr. Peter, Shattered Ice and Miss Penguin were slow to begin. Happy Outlook, Dr. Peter and College Queen collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Dyna Nihlist and Miss Penguin collided approaching the first turn. Almost Human and Miss Penguin collided several times approaching the first turn, on the first turn and approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. College Queen, Aston Dima and Dr. Peter collided approaching the winning post.
