Laura Dora was quick to begin. My Pocket Rocket, Amaroo Crack It and Always About Me were slow to begin. Laura Dora and Sideways Glance collided on the home turn. Child's Dream eased in the home straight. Jungle Jane and Always About Me collided in the home straight. Jungle Jane and Child's Dream collided approaching the winning post.
Laura Dora was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle and left pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Graeme Joske the trainer of the greyhound Child's Dream regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Child's Dream was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right shoulder and left sesamoid, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Child's Dream with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Joske pleaded guilty to the charge, Child's Dream was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
