Steward's Report
Mr P Kaltsis, trainer of Glitch redeclared a new weight of 28.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Glitch last raced at 27.6kg.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Lure Driver Mr B Groom did not act in any official capacity for this event.
A pre race sample was taken from Miss Connochie.
Pagani Lola was quick to begin. Mr. Moo, Miss Connochie and Owen Newitt collided soon after the start checking Miss Connochie and Owen Newitt. Pagani Lola, Glitch and Judy's My Name collided approaching the first turn checking Judy's My Name. Miss Connochie tailed off in the home straight. Pagani Lola and Elite Bluestone collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr P Kaltsis, the trainer of the greyhound Miss Connochie regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Miss Connochie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Kaltsis pleaded guilty to the charge, Miss Connochie was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Miss Connochie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial abrasions to the left hock, no stand down period was imposed.
Meeting Comments-
Satisfactory Trial Results -Highfield Roco trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 31.8kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 26.06, the greyhound beaten by a margin of a head. Highfield Roco was cleared.
