Pursuant to GAR 104(6), Lure Driver S. Bull did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Rich Azz Yeew and Which Arandt were quick to begin. Astana Spur and Grand Jet collided soon after the start checking Grand Jet. Paramount Thunda and Lacka Detail collided approaching the first turn checking Lacka Detail. Which Arandt and Paramount Thunda collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Which Arandt and Paramount Thunda collided on the first turn checking Which Arandt. Three Card Trick and Lacka Detail collided on the first turn checking Lacka Detail. Twobeeyou veered out and marred the running of Rich Azz Yeew approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again entering the home straight severely checking both greyhounds. Grand Jet and Astana Spur collided approaching the winning post checking Grand Jet.
Twobeeyou was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left shoulder. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Tait, the trainer of the greyhound Twobeeyou regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Twobeeyou with marring. Mr. N. Tait pleaded guilty to the charge. Twobeeyou was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
