Ashanti Crown was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right coupling. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

J. McFarlane, trainer of Miss Jocee Mac redeclared a new weight of 23.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Miss Jocee Mac last raced at 21.7kgs.

Deadly Viking and Pin Wheel collided soon after the start checking Deadly Viking. Awesome Premier crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Pin Wheel. Deadly Viking and Pin Wheel collided on the first turn checking Pin Wheel. Stolen Gem and Awesome Premier collided approaching the home turn checking Awesome Premier. Run Dora Run and Deadly Viking collided several times in the home straight. 

Flyin' Les Fergi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Dark Bullet was a late scratching at 11.25 a.m. due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer G. Bromley was fined the sum of $100.

R. Hume, trainer of Dotti Bloom redeclared a new weight of 26.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dotti Bloom last raced at 24.8kgs. 

Heatho's Boy was slow to begin.

Heatho's Boy and Super Wicked collided on the first turn. Heatho's Boy raced wide in the home straight. 

Doomsday Clock was quick to begin.

Pason Sander, Twirly Bird and Stinga Rebel collided entering the back straight checking Stinga Rebel and Twirly Bird. Twirly Bird and Oscar Shiraz collided in the back straight. Oscar Shiraz checked off Stinga Rebel on the second turn. Jazomax checked off King Enright in the home straight.

D. Baker, trainer of Mini Morgo redeclared a new weight of 27.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Mini Morgo last raced at 26.6kg.

Town Clown, Pinari Prince and Flynnie collided on the first turn checking Flynnie and Magic Hook. Pinari Prince faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off as a result. Town Clown raced wide on the home turn. 

Pinari Prince was vetted following the event and revetted following race 12. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and the right thigh. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Montane was a late scratching at 11:56a.m. due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer A. Taylor was fined the sum of $100.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Blast Away trialled over the 390m from box 8, weight 34.4kgs, the greyhound placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.63, the greyhound  won by a margin of 3 lengths. Blast Away was Cleared.
