Kraken Conan was quick to begin. Wolfpack, Cullquin Sam and Oriental Blade were slow to begin.Cullquin Sam checked off Oriental Blade soon after the start. Wolfpack clipped the heels of Cullquin Sam approaching the first turn causing Cullquin Sam to contact the running rail and stumble. Beau Mambo and Sweet Willow collided on the first turn. Beau Mambo galloped on the heels of Sweet Willow approaching the home turn checking Sweet Willow and severely checking Beau Mambo. Wolfpack and Be Hopeful collided in the home straight checking Be Hopeful.
Cullquin Sam was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a graze to the inside left hind leg. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
