Steward's Report
Toy Tsunami and Tennessee Gal were slow to begin. Don's Bullet contacted the running rail on the first turn checking Toy Tsunami. Billyo raced wide on the home turn. Shannon Capricio brushed the running rail on the second turn. Nishikori eased on the home turn and collided several times with Billyo.
Billyo was vetted following the event. It was reported that Billyo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left pencil muscle injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Shannon Capricio was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness in the left hamstring. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
Nishikori was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back musle injury and a right triangle injury. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ashton, the trainer of the greyhound Nishikori regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Nishikori with marring. Mr. K. Ashton pleaded guilty to the charge, Nishikori was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69 A(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
