Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Broon Hilda.
Em Jo Lew and Moonlight Cloud were slow to begin. Matty's Caravan, Em Jo Lew, Ello Reg and Moonlight Cloud collided soon after the start. Em Jo Lew checked off Matty's Caravan approaching the first turn checking Ello Reg. Star Ripper raced wide in the back straight. Belena Bolt checked off Miss Belena on the first turn. Star Ripper raced wide in the home straight.
Em Jo Lew was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Jordan Formosa, handler of Em Jo Lew regarding the greyhounds performance in today's event. Mr. Formosa stated that, in his opinion, Em Jo Lew suffered interference in the early stages of the race which was detrimental to the greyhounds overall performance. He further added that Em Jo Lew races best when in a forward position. Stewards noted his explanation and will monitor the greyhounds performance when it races at Bendigo this coming Wednesday.
