Steward's Report
Lamia Bale and Placid Planet were slow to begin. Lektra Hawk and Left Is Right collided soon after the start. Lamia Bale, Lektra Hawk and Left Is Right collided approaching the first turn. Lektra Hawk, Dyna Beth and Cornelius Fudge collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Beth and Cornelius Fudge. Lamia Bale and Buckle Up Mason collided on the first turn checking Lektra Hawk. Lamia Bale and Cornelius Fudge collided entering the back straight and again on the third turn. Cornelius Fudge checked off Lektra Hawk on the home turn. Placid Planet eased on the home turn. Lamia Bale and Cornelius Fudge collided entering the home straight.
Lamia Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor graze to the right hind, no stand down period was imposed.
Placid Planet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left shoulder and left hock, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr T. Brett, Trainer of Placid Planet. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Placid Planet with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Brett pleaded guilty to the charge and was found guilty. The stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
