Steward's Report
Why Not Wayne was slow to begin. Filius Flitwick and Disco collided soon after the start. Echelonic Action, Smart Maxwell and Filius Flitwick collided approaching the first turn checking Filius Flitwick. Filius Flitwick eased approaching the third turn checking Smart Maxwell and Filius Flitwick. Sonic Pirate raced wide in the back straight. Echelonic Action and Disco collided approaching the fourth turn and again on the fourth turn. Why Not Wayne and Sonic Pirate collided in the home straight.
Smart Maxwell was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right toe nail, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Filius Flitwick was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr D. Todd, Trainer of Filius Flitwick. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Filius Flitwick with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Todd pleaded guilty to the charge and was found guilty. The stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
