Steward's Report
Claretown Sadie and Myoa Thunder were quick to begin. Sling Blade was slow to begin.
Kin Of Loch shifted outwards entering the turn out of the back straight and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed injuries to the left deltoid and right triangle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Sling Blade underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Representative Mr R Kenworthy declined a re-vet.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr R Kenworthy regarding Sling Blade’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Sling Blade was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr R Kenworthy pleaded guilty to the charge. Sling Blade was suspended for 28 days at Horsham only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
