Steward's Report
Meeting Comments:
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 30 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
The Stewards were advised that the track was deeply harrowed on 14/01/2025.

Shrek's Brother – Late scratching at 1:57PM due to weight variation (GAR 101). Shrek's Brother is not permitted to compete for 10 days in any other Event. Trainer, Mr. Martin Hanke, was fined $100.
Twilight Axle (checked and lost ground turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have shin soreness on both hindlegs. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Lamia Taya – the winner of the event.
