Steward's Report
Blinding Faith – Late scratching at 5:25pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). Blinding Faith is not permitted to compete for 10 days in any other Event. Trainer, Ms. Margery Quick was fined $100.
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), track staff Mr. Shaun Boag did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
A pre–race urine sample was taken from Crackerjack Lee.
Hey Ella was quick to begin. King Ron, Moraine Alfie and Morain Felix were slow to begin.
Moraine Alfie (racing manners turning out of the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – and was found to have a left back muscle injury, left track leg injury and bruising/contusion. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Glenn Judd regarding Moraine Alfie racing manners on the turn out of the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Moraine Alfie was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Judd pleaded not guilty to the charge. Moraine Alfie was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Glenn Judd regarding his conduct during an inquiry. A reminder of responsibilities for detrimental comments was issued pursuant to GAR 165(a).
