Steward's Report
Mr. Paul Galea was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for Audacious Fang, pursuant to GAR 88.
Audacious Fang was quick to begin. Wrong Missy was slow to begin.
Bowled Joel turned its head inwards and marred Wrong Missy in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Mr. David Mckenzie regarding Bowled Joel’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Bowled Joel was charged with marring. Mr. Mckenzie plead guilty to the charge. Bowled Joel was suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Mahogany - the winner of the event.
