Out of competition samples were taken from: Super Shanks, Trooper Texas, Morton, Matt Loch, Fernando Phil, Flying Zulu, Description and Bernie Burrow on 30.04.24 pursuant to GAR 139.
Fernando Phil was quick to begin. Flying Zulu was slow to begin.
Bernie Burrow - was galloped on, stumbled and lost considerable ground approaching home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to havea right tricep muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Flying Zulu - checked approaching home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hock. No stand down period was imposed.
Post race urine and blood samples were taken from Matt Loch - the winner of the event.
Post–race samples were taken from Morton (2nd) and Trooper Tears (3rd).
