Steward's Report
Squeaky Carroll – Late scratching at 10:33am when Mrs. Renee Kenyon reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Paw Bradley.
Paw Tika, Crimson Kit, Im Bossy and Henry Bale were quick to begin. My Boy Harvey was slow to begin.
Xoel Bale – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106.
My Boy Harvey (trailed the field and was vetted following the event), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Paw Bradley, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. Deborah Coleman regarding the racing manners of Paw Bradley approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Ms. Coleman, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
