Steward's Report
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed ‘Heat Affected’. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 32.7 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.5 degrees. Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue, as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Pursuant to the GRV Hot Weather Policy, Stewards dispensed with two requirements prior to Race 1, meaning greyhounds were no longer required to remain on course for the specified time, and that the parading of greyhounds was to occur, as the outside temperature had decreased to a reasonable level.

Passing was quick to begin. Saint Finnie was slow to begin.
Monty Rhode (lost ground over the concluding stages) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hock sprain and a left back muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
