Steward's Report
Bright Moon was quick to begin.
Green Flash raced wide turning into the home straight.
Lucy Jane (turned head outwards in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 6. Found to have a right back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Gary Hunt regarding Lucy Jane’s racing manners. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Lucy Jane was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Hunt pleaded guilty to the charge. Lucy Jane must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
