Honey Nightbird was slow to begin.
Honey Nightbird (faltered and tailed off approaching the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Representative Ms B.Wolff declined the option to have the greyhound re–examined.
Stewards spoke to Representative Ms B.Wolff regarding Honey Nightbird’s performance and racing manners approaching the first turn. After hearing submissions from Ms Wolff, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Honey Nightbird unsatisfactory. Honey Nightbird must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
