Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Been Blitzed.
Kraken Loop was quick to begin, Been Blitzed went up with the lids and Lightning Legs was slow to begin.
It was noted that the muzzle of Wally Wagtail became partially dislodged during the running of the event.
Lauradale Lad underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a left triangle laceration. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Wally Wagtail (visibly eased and turned it's head to the outside on the first turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Gary Edwards regarding Wally Wagtail’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Wally Wagtail was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Edwards pleaded guilty to the charge. Wally Wagtail is suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Wally Wagtail – Ordered to wear an anti–aggression muzzle in all future events in accordance with GAR 131.
