Spicy Minx was quick to begin.
A pre–race sample was unable to be obtained from Reschedule, a post–race sample was subsequently taken.
Izakaya Lad - contected running rail first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left metarsal. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
I'm Cheeky - racing manner home straight and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr J Holt regarding the racing manners of I'm Cheeky in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr J Holt, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
Vanessa Bale - racing manners home straight and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr J Palma regarding Vanessa Bale’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Vanessa Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr J Palma pleaded guilty to the charge. Vanessa Bale was suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
