Zaldini was slow to begin. Botanic Beauty checked off Mepunga Premier approaching the first turn. Scorsese checked off Super Payment approaching the first turn. Mepunga Premier, Mr. Kansas, Sisco Return and Super Payment collided on the first turn checking Mr. Kansas, Sisco Return and Super Payment, Mr. Kansas raced wide as a result. Mepunga Premier galloped on the heels of Zaldini approaching the home turn. Sisco Return, Scorsese and Super Payment collided several times approaching the home turn to the home turn.
