Steward's Report
Cedar Rose was slow to begin. Arnie's Star and Theatrical Girl collided soon after the start. Kyah Dane, Our Lisa and Remo Sky collided approaching the first turn checking Remo Sky. Our Lisa checked off Theatrical Girl on the first turn checking Abigail, Kyah Dane, Proven Ventura and Remo Sky. Arnie's Star and Theatrical Girl collided on the home turn and several times in the home straight and raced wide as a result. Theatrical Girl eased in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Cedar Rose - the winner of the event.
Theatrical Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right monkey muscle and right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5), the stewards charged Theatrical Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial All Tracks pursuant to GAR 69(6), before any future nomination will be accepted.
