Evie Maldini and Quest For Magic were quick to begin. Theodossi Bale was slow to begin.
Theodossi Bale (turned its head outwards in the home straight), underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported the greyhound was found to have a left tarsal sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative, Mr. M. Johnson, regarding the racing manners of Theodossi Bale in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Theodossi Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Johnson pleaded guilty to the charge. Theodossi Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
