Mr. S. Clarke, trainer of the greyhound Ibrox Digger redeclared a new weight of 37.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ibrox Digger last raced at 35.8kgs.
Kraken Soupy was slow to begin. Transam Sally and Bendis Bale collided soon after the start checking Transam Sally. Peggie, Dyna Fulcrum, Ibrox Digger, Top Innings collided approaching the first turn checking Peggie, Kraken Soupy and Dyna Fulcrum. Peggie checked off Ibrox Digger on the first turn. Kraken Soupy and Dyna Fulcrum collided on the first turn checking Transam Sally. Top Innings and Bendis Bale collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn. Bendis Bale and Stylish Shazz collided approaching the second turn. Kraken Soupy contacted the running rail on the second turn and lost ground as a result. Top Innings checked off Bendis Bale in the back straight. Ibrox Digger and Bendis Bale collided on the third turn. Bendis Bale checked off Ibrox Digger approaching the home turn.
Kraken Soupy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
