Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6) Kennel Attendant, Mrs J.Hooke did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Call Me Thor – Late scratching at 12:58pm due to weight variation (GAR 101). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Daniel Carswell was fined $100.
Chasing Rascal was slow to begin.
Marrying (turned its head outwards and marred Avery Charm on the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Kevin Ashton regarding Marrying’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Marrying was charged with marring. Mr Ashton pleaded guilty to the charge, Marrying was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
