Cobalt Kaos, Senorita Abbi, Allen Dragon and Next Grange were slow to begin. Cobalt Kaos, Senorita Abbi and Allen Dragon collided soon after the start checking Senorita Abbi. Allen Dragon, Bertie Jakit, Avatar Girl, Kalimna Star and Next Grange collided approaching the first turn checking Kalimna Star, Allen Dragon, Avatar Girl and Bertie Jakit. Kalimna Star and Avatar Girl collided approaching the home turn checking Kalimna Star. Allen Dragon and Kalimna Star collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn checking Kalimna Star. Allen Dragon marred the running of Kalimna Star in the home straight severely checking Kalimna Star.
Allen Dragon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained brusing of the thigh muscles of the right hind leg, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr A Julian, the handler of the greyhound Allen Dragon. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Allen Dragon with marring and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
