Stewards issued a warning to Mr David Jensen, the handler of Mr. Smart regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.

Mr. Smart was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

All Inn River and Symmetry Lad were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Surfing Minnie crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Ninja Backman. Ninja Backman, Symmetry Lad and Hard Merchandise collided approaching the first turn checking Symmetry Lad and Hard Merchandise. Surfing Minnie checked off Lollie Livewire on the first turn. Hard Merchandise, All Inn River and Symmetry Lad collided on the first turn checking All Inn River and Symmetry Lad. Ninja Backman and Hard Merchandise collided approaching the home turn. Hard Merchandise and Simply Cruzin collided entering the home straight. Symmetry Lad and Ninja Backman collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

All Inn Bemm and Not So Dainty were slow to begin. Premier Hawk, Ronaldo Magic and Anna Rose collided soon after the start checking Ronaldo Magic and Anna Rose. Ronaldo Magic checked off All Inn Bemm on the first turn checking Anna Rose. Ronaldo Magic and Not So Dainty collided approaching the home turn. Ronaldo Magic checked off War Room in the home straight. War Room checked off All Inn Bemm in the home straight.

Mister Sunraysia was quick to begin. Kiltah Magic was slow to begin. What's The Hint, Jake Rob and Swagzilla collided soon after the start checking What's The Hint and Jake Rob. Spring Spaniard and Super Tart collided soon after the start checking Spring Spaniard. What's The Hint and Super Tart collided on the first turn. Mister Sunraysia checked off Kiltah Magic on the first turn. Spring Spaniard and Swagzilla collided entering the home straight.

Shintaro Junetsu and Black Beard were slow to begin. Midnight Flynn went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Saahd and Our Arandt collided soon after the start checking Saahd. Midnight Flynn and Creative Chant collided approaching the first turn. Creative Chant, Black Beard and All In Tears collided on the first turn checking Creative Chant and Black Beard. Midnight Flynn and Saahd collided approaching the home turn checking Saahd. All In Tears was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn left triangle and abrasions to the right hind leg, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Beard was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor abrasions, no stand down period was imposed.

Due to a problem with the timing sensor the second split for this race was hand timed.

Mighty Hulk was a late scratching at 6.15pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to fever. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Hallelujah Henry was slow to begin. Mohinga Max and Sofa So Good collided approaching the first turn checking Sofa So Good. Yakamov Bale and There's A Earn collided on the first turn. Sofa So Good and Yakamov Bale collided approaching the home turn. Yakamov Bale eased entering the home straight.

Yakamov Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained Thumps otherwise no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr A Julian, the handler of the greyhound Yakamov Bale.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Yakamov Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days Shepparton and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. Pipeline and Yellowrock Magic collided soon after the start. King Spotalot, Who Told Blackie, Maudie Magic, Yellowrock Magic, Be Up and Mr. Pipeline collided on the first turn checking Maudie Magic, Yellowrock Magic and Who Told Blackie. King Spotalot checked off Mr. Pipeline approaching the home turn. Yellowrock Magic checked off Mr. Pipeline approaching the winning post. Maudie Magic and All Inn Black collided approaching the winning post.

 Allen Dragon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained brusing of the thigh muscles of the right hind leg, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr A Julian, the handler of the greyhound Allen Dragon.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Allen Dragon with marring and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Prince Shak was a late scratching at 6.02pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs D Beasley was fined the sum of $100.

Top Secret was quick to begin. Sapphire Madam was slow to begin. Alarming, Derby Magic and Sapphire Madam collided on the first turn checking Speedy In Oz and Simply Elite. Sapphire Madam galloped on the heels of Derby Magic on the home turn.

Play A Kazoo was slow to begin. Minute River and Stylish Chips collided soon after the start. Play A Kazoo, Comprado, Benzo Bale and Aston Caleb collided on the first turn checking Comprado, Benzo Bale, Play A Kazoo, Minute River and Stylish Fantasy.
