Dimes Ambition and Orson King were slow to begin.
Global Beauty (visibly eased approaching home turn), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a abrasion to the left toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mrs J.Torr regarding Global Beauty’s racing manners approaching home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Global Beauty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Torr pleaded guilty to the charge, Global Beauty was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
