Pursuant to GAR 75(6) Kennel Attendant, Mr G.Glass did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Kennel Representative Mr C.Taylor requested the removal of an early race endorsement for Hooded Monkey. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on–track veterinarian and was passed fit to race.
Kintsugi was quick to begin. In The Orange and Magic Eyeliner were slow to begin.
Bang On Blue (turned it's head inward and visibly eased approaching the winning post), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Representative Mr. Joshua Formosa regarding Bang On Blue’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Bang On Blue was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Formosa pleaded guilty to the charge, Bang On Blue was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Kintsugi – the winner of the event.
