Steward's Report
Acting in accordance with the GRV Lightning and Thunderstorm Safety Procedure, racing was suspended at 17:35 due to weather conditions - continuous heavy downfalls, thunder and lightning activity within the designated safety zone around the Geelong venue. Due to safety concerns, the meeting was delayed and races re–scheduled as per below after Stewards inspected the track surface and after conferring with track staff as to the penetrometer readings, found the track satisfactory for racing.
