A pre-race sample was taken from Lofty.
Magic Changes was quick to begin. Madalia Patch was slow to begin.
Magic Changes turned its head inwards approaching the winning post and underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Robert Cunningham regarding Magic Changes’s racing manners approaching the winning post, Mr Cunningham declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Magic Changes was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Cunningham pled not guilty to the charge, Magic Changes was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
