Steward's Report
Dynamic Luke, Sultan Of Swing and Claretown Bart were slow to begin.
Claretown Bart and Fearsome Mint collided soon after the start. Bally Abbie checked off Santa Storm approaching the first turn. Sultan Of Swing, Bally Abbie, Elite Stress and Fearsome Mint collided on the first turn checking Sultan Of Swing. Bally Abbie and Claretown Bart collided approaching the home turn. Santa Storm and Elite Stress collided on the home turn, Santa Storm raced wide as a result. Elite Stress eased on the home turn and collided with Santa Storm. Elite Stress eased in the home straight.
Elite Stress was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Quinn the representative of the greyhound Elite Stress. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Elite Stress with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
